Yoga for Well-Being

Yoga has many physical, mental and emotional benefits.

Holistic wellness consists of many things. Being truly healthy and well, mentally, physically and emotionally is going to look different for everyone.

My two main passions are Italy, and yoga. I feel that both of these are the epitome of vibrant wellness.

The lifestyle of Italy, which is focused on pure pleasure, joy and the simple beauty of life, is key to wellness!

Yoga is about getting to know yourself deeply, moving, breathing, and releasing so you can become stronger, more flexible (physically and mentally!), and create your most joyful existence.

Yoga moves stuck energy through the body which helps to heal emotional stress.

Energy that’s stuck can become depression, frustration and anxiety.

The process of moving energy through releases physical, mental and emotional pain from the body.

So how does this work?

Through a consistent yoga practice, twisting, bending, expanding, and flowing, the stuck energy can be released, so you can reset and reach a state of peace, freedom and joy.

I've experienced this is my own life.

I often hold tension in my neck and shoulders. When I'm under mental and emotional stress, I notice the physical discomfort become worse. This leads to headaches, fatigue and muscular pain.

By releasing the physical tension through my regular yoga practice, it eases the mental and emotional stress.

I'm able to process my feelings and stress better, which naturally relieves the neck pain.

It's all connected.

The physical affects the mental and the emotional bodies, and vice versa.

By moving, stretching, and twisting, the stagnant energy is released.

It's also cleared through the breath, the mindfulness in the movement, and simply being present in your body and turning the focus inward.

This is also why so many people cry in yoga…

It’s a release of energy.

Which is such a beautiful thing.

The movement through the poses brings feelings to the surface so you can experience them and then let go of them, rather than just shoving them down and ignoring them.

Which is where depression and anxiety come from.

The more you feel your feelings, the more you're able to heal.

Physically, mentally and emotionally.

This is one of the many reasons why yoga is so magical.

And why it's unlike other forms of exercise or movement.

Have you experienced the healing power of yoga in your own life?

What makes you feel your most authentic self, and brings you the most joy?
