Intuitive eating is deeply connecting with your body’s nutritional needs. Eating intuitively is natural in Italy and other Mediterranean countries. It’s about fully enjoying your food, and taking time to focus on the practice of eating and fueling your body.

This is something I love about the Italian culture.
Food is a beautiful part of life in Italy! Italians take pride in their meals...the quality of ingredients, the simplicity of using local and seasonal produce, and the art of long, luxurious meals with family and friends.
Eating intuitively is natural in Italy and other Mediterranean countries.
In the U.S. we've somehow lost this. It's become so much about dieting and restrictions, that we've lost touch with simply nourishing our bodies.
Common struggles related to food, aside from just having trouble losing weight, are digestive issues, feeling sluggish after eating, trying different “fad” diets or “googling” what to eat because of confusion.
There is so much conflicting information out there!
It’s important to remember that everyone is unique. One way of eating does not work for everyone.
That’s why eating intuitively is so natural and feels so good once you learn how to do it.
It just takes time to really get to know yourself and find patterns related to how you feel and the food you eat.
A great start is to keep a food journal.
Write down what you eat and drink, and how it makes you feel… physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically.
Yes, it’s all connected!
Once you learn you can eat the foods you love, focus on nourishing your body, and eating mindfully until you’re satisfied but not full, eating will become a joy and pleasure again!
No more stressing about food.
No more counting calories.
No more deprivation or thinking about food as “bad” or “good.”
No more “dieting.”
Just by getting deeply in touch with what foods help you feel the best, gives you the freedom to eat what you like, and maintain a healthy balanced body and mind!
